Question
Congenital hip dislocation is a common skeletal development disorder in children. How should it be treated?
Answer
Congenital hip dysplasia is a common pediatric limb deformity, and our understanding of this condition has deepened in recent years. Since the 1990s, it has been renamed developmental hip dysplasia. This condition is more common in girls than in boys, and the left side is more frequent than the right. The onset may be related to factors such as race, gender, environment, fetal position during pregnancy, genetic factors, hormone levels (such as estrogen causing muscle and ligament relaxation), and postnatal wrapping methods (such as candle wrapping).
