Question
What Are the Symptoms of Myocarditis?
Answer
Patients with myocarditis may experience symptoms such as palpitations, chest pain, difficulty breathing, coughing, fever, and fatigue. Those with myocarditis should strengthen physical exercise to lower the body’s resistance to diseases, prevent overexertion to avoid viral or bacterial infections. After onset, rest should be taken and a nutritious diet should be consumed to facilitate the complete recovery of the heart. During the acute phase, bed rest is recommended until symptoms and signs improve and the electrocardiogram returns to normal. Exercise can then be gradually increased, and a nutritious, easy-to-digest diet should be provided. Active correction should be made if signs of heart failure, arrhythmia, or shock occur again.
