Question

Will children of O-negative and B-positive parents be affected?

Answer

A mother with O-negative blood and a father with B-positive blood may lead to neonatal hemolytic disease. The mother should have tests for anti-A (or anti-B) antibody concentrations, and regular checks should be conducted at 16 weeks, 28 to 30 weeks of pregnancy, and every 2 to 4 weeks thereafter. Regular monitoring helps in early detection and treatment of potential neonatal hemolytic disease.
