Question
I’ve been looking for a specialized hospital for hydrocephalus treatment. Could someone kindly recommend one?
Answer
Hello, mild cases of hydrocephalus can usually be treated with diuretics and demeclocycline. Patients with a noticeable enlargement of the skull and a cortical thickness greater than 1 cm may require surgical intervention. Guideline: However, for patients with severe hydrocephalus, intellectual disability, blindness, paralysis, and significant atrophy of brain tissue with a cortical thickness less than 1 cm, surgery is not recommended.
