Question
My child is 3 months old and has a slightly stuffy nose every morning when waking up, but there’s no mucus, and it clears up after a while. Everything else is normal. Is this a cold? How should I deal with it?
Answer
Based on the current symptoms, it seems your baby might have a cold. But don’t worry too much; you can give some taurine granules, which are available over the counter and are non-prescription drugs. At the same time, you can supplement with a lot of vitamin C. You can take cold medicine, but it can only relieve cold symptoms, not cure the cold. If there’s more nasal discharge or a slight fever, you can take some symptomatic anti-inflammatory medication, but it’s best to take it sparingly.
