Question

Can newborns use pillows?

Answer

Newborns should not use pillows as it may affect their breathing and normal growth and development. However, to prevent vomiting, the upper body of the newborn can be slightly elevated. When the baby reaches 3 months old and begins to learn to lift their head, the spine starts to curve forward, and at this point, pillows can be used. The height of the pillow should be moderate, and the pillowcase and pillow core should be cleaned and dried frequently to prevent mold and bacterial growth.
