Question

My daughter is 45 days old, and her measured body temperature is 37.5 degrees Celsius. Is this considered a fever? Or could it be due to wearing too many clothes? Do you have any experience or advice on treatment or effectiveness to share?

Answer

Infants have poor temperature regulation, so on hot days or when dressed too warmly, their body temperature may slightly rise, which is normal. Don’t dress your child too warmly and monitor their body temperature changes promptly. If the body temperature exceeds 38.5 degrees Celsius, you can give your child oral ibuprofen granules or other antipyretic medications.
