My baby started refusing the breast after being taken for blue light therapy, and under the doctor’s care, she was fed formula for 7 days. Now, when we go back, the baby doesn’t recognize my wife’s nipple and cries intensely without trying to nurse. What should we do? Please help!

If the baby is not breastfeeding due to inverted nipples, the mother can use a nipple shield to allow the baby to feed. Observe the baby’s nursing behavior carefully. Don’t worry; it will naturally improve in a few days. In the meantime, focus on giving the baby formula and continue to monitor her absorption.
