Question

Age of the two-month-old patient:

Answer

This condition is considered a hemangioma, a benign tumor formed from vascular tissue. Hemangiomas come in several types, including superficial capillary hemangiomas, deep hemangiomas, and cavernous hemangiomas. These tumors may be present at birth or appear shortly thereafter. They typically grow as the baby grows but usually regress on their own as the baby matures. However, in some cases, surgical or cryotherapy may be necessary to remove them.
