Question

The child needs to use the bathroom every few minutes, running 2-3 times during a single class, but each time they only urinate a little. Is this a sign of a disease? I’ve had a urine test done, and the report was normal. The doctor said it’s nervous frequent urination. What additional tests or treatments do I need to consider?

Answer

Nervous frequent urination typically does not require special treatment and can heal on its own. Parents can adopt some proper guidance methods, such as not paying excessive attention to the child’s frequent urination problem, and not scolding or blaming them. Instead, encourage the child to try and hold on, gradually extending the interval between each urination. At the same time, you can establish a reward system, such as giving a small red flower for each reduction in the frequency of urination, which can be redeemed for rewards the child desires after accumulating a certain amount.
