Question
What are the early symptoms of pediatric epilepsy?
Answer
Epilepsy has two basic characteristics: recurrence and sudden onset. An episode refers to the first recurrence, which will definitely happen after a period of time, leading to multiple recurrences. Even if the most common severe pain occurs only once more, it is not considered an episode unless there is a recurrence. In terms of diet, epilepsy patients should avoid spicy and stimulating food (irritating food), quit smoking and drinking, prevent overeating, and consume more fresh fruits, soy products, dairy products, vegetables, high-protein foods, and those rich in phospholipids.
