Question

When is pediatric asthma more severe?

Answer

The severity of asthma is related to seasonal changes. In autumn and winter, due to the variable weather and frequent viral respiratory infections, the incidence rate is usually higher. Additionally, the increase in pollen concentration in spring may also lead to worsened asthma. High humidity facilitates the growth of bacteria, and low atmospheric pressure causes pollen and harmful dust to accumulate on the ground, increasing the risk of inhalation. Besides respiratory infections, inflammatory infections in the lungs, urinary tract, trachea, and nasal sinuses may also trigger or exacerbate pediatric asthma.
