Question

My child has diarrhea, and I’m not sure which medication to take or what kind of food is suitable. Could someone knowledgeable please inform me? Should we only eat soft foods, and is meat not allowed? Please explain, experts.

Answer

Carrot Puree: Take a sufficient amount of fresh carrots, wash and chop them, then cook or steam until soft. Remove the carrots and mash them with a spoon, adding only a small amount of the water used to cook the carrots. Set aside the cooked carrot water for later use. Note: Do not add sugar to the carrot puree to avoid soothing nausea and vomiting. When eating, mix 5 to 10 grams of carrot puree with every 100 milliliters of carrot water. This method is effective when treating infant and toddler diarrhea. Rice Porridge: Take a sufficient amount of millet, grind it into powder, and place it in a pot over low heat until slightly golden. When serving, mix the rice porridge with an adequate amount of water and sugar to form a paste, let it cool slightly before consuming. Take this mixture 2 to 3 times a day on average.
