My baby got a fever yesterday afternoon and then I noticed some red spots in their mouth, as well as some red spots on their feet. After receiving a shot, the fever subsided. This morning, the spots in the mouth have healed, but the red spots on the feet are still there, but they are not feverish anymore. Could this be hand, foot, and mouth disease?

Since hand, foot, and mouth disease is a viral infectious disease, the early stages typically involve high fever or feverish symptoms along with malaise. The child currently only has rash-like symptoms appearing on the back of the hands and feet, which are more indicative of eczema or dermatitis. Therefore, it is recommended to seek the help of a dermatologist or pediatrician for further diagnosis.
