Question
Can a baby eat more breast milk than formula milk?
Answer
Breast milk is easier to digest than formula milk, which may lead to the baby consuming larger quantities and feeling hungrier more frequently. Generally, breastfed babies are fed every two and a half hours, while formula-fed babies are fed every three hours or so. Precautions: 1. If there is an increase in the baby’s bowel movements, be aware of the possibility of breastmilk-induced diarrhea. 2. Measure the baby’s weight; as long as it is stable, there is no problem. 3. If the weight gain is too slow, consider increasing the feeding frequency or check for gastrointestinal infections in the stool.
