Question

My child was diagnosed with Henoch-Schönlein purpura in September 2018, and the condition has not recurred for 10 months. Now, during morning urine tests, there is occasional trace of blood 1, and sometimes it’s normal. Additionally, I’ve noticed a situation: the child’s left eyelid sometimes swells for several days and sometimes doesn’t (since the child has double eyelids, the left eyelid being slightly swollen indicates this). The right eye has never had this issue again. What could this be? Does anyone know?

Answer

The main causes of Henoch-Schönlein purpura include: 1. Bacterial and viral infections 2. Parasite infections 3. Food 4. Medications 5. Other factors such as cold, injury, insect bites, pollen, vaccination, tuberculin test, menopause, and even psychological factors. Recommendation: Henoch-Schönlein purpura can be highly detrimental to patients, severely affecting their physical and mental health, and significantly disrupting their appearance. Prolonged treatment without improvement is very harmful to the patient’s overall well-being.
