Patients with chromosomal abnormalities generally may experience a variety of different issues, which could include intellectual disabilities, fertility problems, or diseases related to metabolism. If only one set of chromosomal abnormalities is present, it may be possible to generate a healthy baby through embryo screening. However, if multiple chromosomal abnormalities are present, the resulting baby may also have issues.
