Question
The child recently caught a cold because they didn’t cover up at night, so they have developed symptoms of nausea, vomiting, runny nose, and cough again. Some of the medications we’ve given the child in the past haven’t worked, and now I want to know what to do for a child’s diarrhea, runny nose, and cough that have been ongoing for over six months?
Answer
After catching a cold again, if the child has symptoms of a runny nose and cough, you can give them some cold medicine, anti-inflammatory medication, and expectorants to relieve coughing. Make sure they drink plenty of water and eat more vegetables and fruits. Nausea and vomiting may indicate some indigestion or abdominal cold. You can also give the child some supplements. Perform abdominal heat compresses, pay attention to abdominal warmth, control the indoor humidity appropriately, and always keep the indoor air fresh.
