I’ve been feeling my eyesight getting blurry lately. I often suddenly can’t see clearly, with objects appearing double and sometimes completely invisible. I usually look down and wear reading glasses. I’m worried it might be optic nerve atrophy. Could you please tell me what the symptoms of optic nerve atrophy are?

Optic nerve atrophy typically presents with vision fading and the field of vision appearing grayish-white. Generally, an eye examination can reveal the optic disc to be pale yellow or grayish-white, with the physical Depression gradually fading. There are usually primary optic nerve atrophy and secondary optic nerve atrophy, or intracranial inflammation that can lead to these conditions. It is recommended that you still go to the hospital for detailed examinations to rule out other diseases.
