Question

My son is 11 years old now, and he’s not very willing to be close to us or talk much. He always prefers to be alone in his room. We’re worried that there might be some psychological issues with him, and we want to know what common psychological issues 11-year-old children can face?

Answer

There are many types of psychological issues in children, and it’s recommended that you continue to observe your child’s behavior to see if there are any other abnormal signs. Typically, children at this age are in a stage of growth and development, may have their own thoughts, and may not want to communicate too much with adults, which could also be a normal behavior. Don’t force your child too much, but do try to communicate more with them.
