Encephalitis can cause symptoms such as fever, headache, body aches, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue. In some cases, it may also lead to purulent rash and myocarditis manifestations. The fever usually lasts for about 7 to 10 days. There may be consciousness disorders and meningeal irritation signs. After the second day of the illness, there may be flaccid paralysis of the neck and scapular muscles, leading to head drooping and inability to lift arms.Brain nerve and lower limb involvement is rare.
