Question

My child has been crying and fussing a lot recently, and doesn’t eat much. Is being around 18 years old considered early puberty?

Answer

If someone is around 18 years old and only starts to develop secondary sexual characteristics, or if the development is not fully mature, it does not count as early puberty. Generally, boys and girls enter puberty after the age of 13 or 14, and secondary sexual characteristics begin to develop. Anything below the age of 11 is not considered early puberty. Therefore, if someone’s growth and development is completely normal around the age of 18, and they only start to develop at the age of 18, they should be considered late bloomers. It’s best to have a thorough check-up at the hospital.
