Question

What are the symptoms of a child having epilepsy?

Answer

Epileptic seizures can manifest in various types, often characterized by sudden dazes or sudden halts in body movements. This is followed by a sudden loss of consciousness, leading to muscle spasms, rigidity, and seizures. Commonly accompanying these are purple lips, pale complexion, clenched jaws, tongue bites, upward rolling eyes, vomiting foam, incontinence of urine and feces, and dilated pupils. The duration of these symptoms can vary greatly, ranging from a few seconds to several minutes. Afterward, the patient may enter a state of coma. Severe cases may result in consciousness disorders, emotional disorders, or other complications.
