Answers

Acute suppurative otitis media is usually caused by an untreated acute inflammation or when the patient’s immune system is weak, leading to increased virulence of the bacteria and prolonged duration of the illness. Dizziness may be one of the complications of otitis media, related to inner ear damage or tympanic membrane perforation, and the dizziness symptoms may disappear after the perforation is repaired. In addition, patients with chronic otitis media may occasionally experience dizziness, especially during acute attacks or when the labyrinth is damaged.
