Question
How should pediatric nephrotic syndrome be treated?
Answer
Pediatric nephrotic syndrome often recurs with obvious eyelid edema, body swelling, and positive urine protein. This is believed to be closely related to autoimmune reactions and infectious pathogens, which can lead to eyelid edema and body swelling. Since the etiology of nephrotic syndrome is not yet fully understood and involves various different pathological changes, it is not possible to simply predict whether nephrotic syndrome can heal itself. Some patients can achieve complete remission and may no longer need to take immunosuppressive agents.
