Question

Does moxibustion for bedwetting in children have side effects?

Answer

Bedwetting is a symptom, and the recurrence of bedwetting in children does not necessarily indicate a pathological condition; most cases are caused by habit. Treatment requires patience in implementing guidance and may also be related to hereditary factors from previous generations. Kidney Yin deficiency due to cold can also trigger bedwetting. Generally, acupuncture and moxibustion in traditional Chinese medicine have no significant side effects. However, if the acupoints are not accurately located or if the treatment time is too long, it may not be effective. Some weak constitutions may not withstand it, or there is a risk of accidentally burning the skin.
