Question
What is renal rickets?
Answer
Renal rickets is a relatively common disease in infancy, which may be caused by a calcium-phosphorus metabolic disorder due to a deficiency of vitamin D. It’s advisable to ensure your child consumes plenty of calcium-rich foods, such as dairy and seaweed, and also to eat vitamin D-rich foods like pork liver to enhance calcium absorption. Encourage your child to eat fresh fruits and vegetables, and allow them to breathe fresh air and get plenty of sunlight.
