Question

Will facial paralysis occur again after two years?

Answer

Facial paralysis patients who do not pay attention to rest or experience a decline in physical strength during the treatment process may still have a recurrence, even if the symptoms are stable. While most cases do not recur, if precautions are not taken properly, a few patients may experience multiple episodes of facial paralysis, even up to 3 to 4 times. The severity of each episode may vary, with severe cases potentially leaving behind sequelae such as drooling, difficulty closing eyes, involuntary tears, facial muscle spasms, neck pain, headaches, and facial pain.
