Question

When should newborn jaundice disappear?

Answer

The vast majority of newborns may develop skin jaundice within the first seven days after birth, caused by the accumulation of bilirubin on the skin surface. Medically known as neonatal jaundice. The baby’s jaundice usually subsides within half a month, but sometimes it may take a month for it to disappear. Pay special attention and seek timely re-examination for babies whose jaundice appears prematurely or does not subside on time, or who experience a recurrence after the jaundice gradually disappears.
