Question

I noticed my mouth is slightly crooked when taking photos. Could this be a symptom of facial paralysis?

Answer

In normal circumstances, no one’s face is perfectly symmetrical on both sides. You might not have noticed this before. If there’s no leakage when drinking water or speaking, this is not a symptom of facial paralysis. It’s a normal phenomenon if one side of the face looks asymmetrical when chewing on one side, and it doesn’t require treatment. You can consciously chew on the other side. As you age, many changes occur in facial structures. Wishing the patient a speedy recovery!
