For central facial paralysis, treatment should be based on the treatment of the underlying disease; for peripheral facial paralysis, hormone therapy should be the foundation, supplemented by traditional Chinese medicine and other treatments. In the case of young male patients, it is considered possible that they may have Bell’s palsy. Acute facial paralysis should be treated early, and acupuncture treatment can be added after three days of treatment. Generally, significant relief can be observed within about half a month.
