Question

How to conservatively treat ischemic necrosis of the femoral head?

Answer

If the femoral head develops ischemic necrosis again, it mainly leads to swelling and pain in the surrounding area. If the condition is not severe, conservative treatment can be decided upon. This primarily involves taking some nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and at the same time, undergoing extracorporeal high-voltage current therapy. The treatments can be complemented with acupuncture. Additionally, it’s important to pay attention to keeping the hip joint warm, increasing its load, and using hot towels for cold compress therapy and massage. Rehabilitation exercises should also be performed.
