Question

What does a child with cerebral palsy look like?

Answer

A child with cerebral palsy may have a normal appearance of the head, but internal brain issues are causing it, which are not visible externally. Cerebral palsy generally manifests as motor disabilities in the child, such as inability to walk or walking with an abnormal posture, such as toe walking, scissor gait, and inability to squat. Hand movement may be limited, making it difficult to pick up objects with hands, or the child may always use one hand to grasp things. Other symptoms may include intellectual and language developmental delays.
