Question
There are no other symptoms, but I feel knee pain during naptime or class, and sometimes it even hurts when I blow a fan. Please explain this situation.
Answer
Growing pains usually appear at night, affecting areas such as the knees, ankle joints, and knee joints. The pain can range from numbness to severe discomfort and varies in intensity. Typically, they disappear on their own after a few nights. The same applies when they recur. There is no redness or swelling in the legs, and gently pressing on the leg muscles does not cause pain, nor does it affect walking. Some suggest taking calcium supplements to treat growing pains, but there is no connection between calcium and growing pains. Even with sufficient calcium intake, growing pains can still occur, and calcium supplements do not significantly help alleviate them. Growing pains are a normal phenomenon and usually do not require special treatment. Consider taking Vitamin B1 and Vitamin B6, as they can help nourish nerves and alleviate pain caused by nerve tension, although their effectiveness is limited.
