Tic disorder primarily occurs during childhood and adolescence, characterized by vocal tics or involuntary, repetitive, rapid movements of one or more muscles. In addition to the above symptoms, some children may also experience inattention, hyperactivity, or obsessive behaviors. The duration of the condition must be at least two weeks. If the disorder lasts for less than a year, it is referred to as transient tic disorder; if it lasts for a year or more, it is considered chronic tic disorder.
