Question
What are the symptoms of cystic hygroma?
Answer
Cystic hygroma is one of the more common congenital fistulas in the neck, with its internal opening near the same-side tonsil pocket and its external opening mostly located on the skin in front of the lower segment of the sternocleidomastoid muscle. The symptoms of cystic hygroma include neck swelling, pain, and purulent discharge from the external opening. In cases of recurrent infection, patients may also experience regional redness and pus discharge.
