Question
Can liver blastoma be cured? What are the survival rates?
Answer
Liver blastoma is a poor-prognosis, difficult-to-treat malignant tumor. It is commonly found in infants and young children and poses significant harm to child health. Early detection and standardized treatment are crucial. In fact, it can lead to multiple metastases. Surgery is the preferred treatment method. If surgery is not an option, we can only consider radiation therapy and chemotherapy, among other comprehensive treatment methods. The goal of treatment can only be to prolong the patient’s life, not to cure the disease.
