Question
Should a two-month-old baby be able to lift their head? I’ve heard that other babies at this age can already do so.
Answer
Generally, babies start to be able to hold their heads up straight around three months old, but the rate of development varies from child to child. Some babies may begin lifting their heads earlier, while others may take a bit longer. If the baby is in good condition and eating normally, you can place them on your chest while they are awake and alert, and encourage them to try lifting their head. This process should be done for a few seconds each time, about three times a day. After a period of time, the baby should be able to lift their head.
