Question
I don’t know why, but I seem to experience subcutaneous hemorrhage quite often. I often find swelling or a large bruise on my legs or arms without any reason. How should I handle subcutaneous hemorrhage?
Answer
Based on your description, it is recommended to have a routine blood test to check for decreased platelets. If the platelets are reduced, it could be thrombocytopenic purpura. If the platelets are not reduced, it could be allergic purpura. The characteristics of allergic purpura include symmetrical hemorrhagic rashes that do not fade under pressure, most commonly seen in both lower limbs. Treatment for this condition focuses on anti-allergic measures. Be cautious of gastrointestinal bleeding. Consult with your local doctor, and seek treatment at a higher-level hospital if necessary.
