Question

Is this a sign of cerebral palsy?

Answer

Cerebral palsy can manifest in various types. One type is spastic, characterized by rigid limbs. Another involves involuntary movements of the limbs and hands and feet, especially when performing purposeful actions, accompanied by more unconscious movements like blinking of the eyes, difficulty speaking and swallowing, and drooling. Another type is ataxia, which is characterized by weak limb muscles, inability to maintain body balance, unsteady gait, and inability to perform fine motor skills such as using fingers and nose.
