Question

How can I increase the probability of having a boy? Do I need to go to the hospital for treatment? How long does the treatment process take to see results?

Answer

Gender is determined by the sex chromosomes in the reproductive cells. The birth of a boy or a girl is not related to the time of conception. Approximately half of the sperm carry (22+X) chromosomes, while the other half carry (22+Y) chromosomes. The chromosomes in an egg are only one type, (22+X). The X and Y chromosomes in the chromosome determine gender and are therefore called sex chromosomes. When a sperm and an egg combine (i.e., fertilization), if a sperm carrying (22+X) chromosomes fertilizes an egg, they will combine to form (44+XX), developing into a female fetus. If a sperm carrying (22+Y) chromosomes fertilizes an egg, they will combine to form (44+XY), developing into a male fetus.
