Question

Our child has difficulty concentrating, delayed development, and intellectual disability. How should we treat it?

Answer

It is recommended that you have your child undergo a cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and bring them to a specialized pediatric hospital’s neurology department as soon as possible for a comprehensive systemic examination to determine the cause of the intellectual disability. At the same time, implement rehabilitation treatment as early as possible. Intellectual disability is not easily recoverable, so parents need to maintain a positive attitude, encourage the child to actively face challenges, and boost their confidence in overcoming intellectual disability, believing that recovery is possible.
