Question

My 4-month-old baby has a bowel movement 3-6 times a day, with no other issues. He doesn’t cry or fuss. What do experts say? Is it an illness or lactose diarrhea?

Answer

I don’t think you need to worry either. I have a few colleagues whose children were the same as yours, and even after taking many medications, there was no improvement. They eventually got better naturally, around 8 months old. However, their children developed very well in all aspects, so frequent bowel movements might be related to how much they eat. This is in response to the question ‘My baby is 4 months old and has been breastfed; his bowel movements have been normal for about a month.’ I hope this helps you.
