Question
What should be done to treat brain development disorders in infants? Especially when an infant can only be soothed by their mother when crying, what treatment measures should be taken to achieve the best recovery results? Should the use of hyperbaric oxygen and brain activators be considered?
Answer
Children with brain development disorders may exhibit various postural abnormalities and have poor postural stability. Their posture may appear twisted and asymmetric during movement or rest. In severe cases, the child’s head may not maintain a normal vertical midline position but instead tends to tilt to one side or sway from side to side. Additionally, intellectual disabilities and perceptual disabilities are common issues. Among all children with brain development disorders, about one-fourth have normal intelligence, half have mild to moderate intellectual deficiencies, and one-fourth have severe intellectual deficiencies. In terms of perceptual disabilities, patients may be overly sensitive to stimuli or unresponsive.
