Question
A male has developed blisters on his genital area without any other symptoms. It could be herpes. Where can one find a urological hospital to treat this condition?
Answer
Male genital herpes is commonly found on areas such as the glans penis, coronal sulcus, urethral opening, scrotum, thighs, and arms. The manifestations of genital herpes include primary and recurrent types. Primary refers to the first infection with the virus, which has an incubation period of approximately 2 to 10 days after which the affected area experiences a burning sensation, followed by the appearance of 3 to 10 grouped red papules, accompanied by itching. The papules quickly turn into small blisters, which become pustules 3 to 5 days later. They rupture and form large areas of ulceration and ulcers, causing pain to the patient, which eventually scab and heal. Hospitals such as Fujian Provincial People’s Hospital, Peking University First Hospital, and Peking University Third Hospital all offer corresponding treatment.
