Question

My baby accidentally burned their finger while drinking water and now has many blisters. I don’t know how to treat these blisters, but they’re not severe. What are the treatment methods for minor burns with blisters?

Answer

After a finger burn, blisters may appear due to an increase in subcutaneous exudate. Generally, it’s best not to puncture the blisters. You can gently apply a moist burn ointment to the burn area to keep it moist. Additionally, you can use an antibiotic ointment topically to prevent regional infection. Over time, the fluid in the blisters will be gradually absorbed. If there are symptoms like itching or discomfort, other appropriate medications can also be used for treatment.
