Question

My child is 3 years and 10 months old, has been in kindergarten for 1 year. About 5 months ago, after spending time with a classmate who stutters, my child suddenly started to stutter. The problem disappeared after changing seats. It has intermittently appeared 3 times since then, with difficulty in pronouncing the first word. It can all disappear on its own.

Answer

There are various methods to treat stuttering, including articulation therapy, breathing exercises, breakthrough techniques, Zenichi therapy, and medication treatment. There are many other corrective methods for stuttering, and apart from therapies that may harm the body, stutterers should be courageous in trying them out. Many stutterers have gained a new lease on language through some of these methods. It is recommended to seek medical treatment. Building confidence and gaining courage to tackle the issue head-on is important, as this is not caused by a single factor. Therefore, comprehensive training is needed to improve the condition.
