Question
What are the clinical manifestations of pediatric cerebral palsy?
Answer
During the neonatal period, there is a decline in performance, with poor suckling and feeding responses. Within three months, there is a significant reduction in the kicking movements of the lower limbs, or they kick their legs simultaneously. Spastic cerebral palsy often manifests as a decrease in accessory activities. The limbs of affected children move little, especially the lower limbs, often showing spasticity, bilateral paralysis, and quadriplegia. Due to the difficulty in voluntary movement, there is motor stiffness and coordination issues, and abnormal movement patterns often occur. The hypotonia type is characterized by sputum, softness, and excessive calmness.
