Question

My baby has been having green stool for over a month from formula feeding! It happens every two days! We’ve tried probiotics and children’s digestive tonics, but they haven’t worked. What should we do?

Answer

Since a baby’s gastrointestinal function is not fully developed, changes in stool color are normal. It is common for infants to have yellow or green stools. As long as the baby is full of energy, eating normally, without vomiting, and there is no weight loss, there is no need to worry. Just continue with regular feeding. As the baby grows older and starts on solid foods, the stool color will gradually improve.
