Question
My daughter is three and a half years old. Recently, she said her mouth was very painful, and there were ulcers inside her mouth, but no blisters appeared on her hands and feet. There were only a few small red spots on the soles of her feet. I want to know if this is Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease?
Answer
The blisters of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease typically appear on the palm side of both hands, including the edges (excluding the back). There may be more rashes or red vesicles on the rash, surrounded by red, swollen white blisters (this is a common situation when rashes appear). The blisters will turn dark red after about 2 days, and the rashes usually disappear completely within 5-7 days. It is recommended that you take your daughter to a regular hospital for further examination to confirm the cause and help her grow healthily.
